Housing

We pride ourselves in making sure WPU students have a comfortable residency on campus. Having a convenient and satisfying dormitory is an important part of an enjoyable college experience, and our Residence Life staff is committed to providing that for University students.

With a variety of dormitories from the charm of turn-of-the-century residence halls to new state-of-the-art housing, we will find the right place for you. Dorms are available in single, double, townhouse, and apartment styles.

William Penn places great care and emphasis on your living environment, creating a sense of community and an atmosphere of cooperation, safety and responsibility. Residency is required for all full-time students unless you are living with a spouse or parent, are a military veteran, age 21 or older, or have completed at least 58 credit hours or an A.A. degree.

Room assignments are based on seniority, honors status, and availability of space. Handicap-accessible rooms/baths are available upon request by contacting the housing director. Residence hall and roommate preferences should be listed on your Application for Housing. For complete housing information and policies, download the Student Handbook.

**Effective July 1, 2008** William Penn University is a completely smoke-free campus in accordance with the Iowa Smokefree Air Act. Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere on campus, including all buildings, grounds and vehicles.
