Purpose of Position: To ensure accountability of student athletes academic progression
Description of Duties & Responsibilities:
The mission of the peer mentorship is to assist all student athletes in obtaining their academic goals as well recognizing their full academic potential. In order to help student athletes, the peer mentorship provides academic support, monitoring of the student athlete’s academic progress; while if qualified, tutoring, mentoring, and providing other on campus resources i.e. writing center, student success center to help them become successful while at WPU. These resources on campus provide each and every student athlete the opportunity to be successful at WPU in pursuit of their career path.
