Purpose of Job
Department: Student Success Program & Career Services Employment Type: Work Study and College Job Eligible Hours: 2-4 hours per week Schedule: Monday-Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (flexible based on departmental needs and student availability) Supervisor: Director of Student Success and/or Career Services Staff
Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Responsibilities
Administrative Support
• File, organize, and maintain office records and materials.
• Assist with data entry, document preparation, and other clerical tasks.
• Conduct basic research for projects, programming, and campus initiatives.
• Assist staff with special projects as assigned.
• Support office organization and inventory management.
Event Support
• Assist with planning and preparation for workshops, career fairs, presentations, and student events.
• Help with event setup, check-in, staffing, and cleanup.
• Prepare materials, supplies, and promotional items for events.
• Provide a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and guests attending events.
Facility and Resource Management
• Help oversee the organization, cleanliness, and usability of key student spaces, including:
o 24-Hour Computer Lab
o Academic Skills Center
o Student Game Room
• Monitor supplies and equipment and report maintenance concerns.
• Assist with inventory tracking and organization of office resources.
• Help ensure spaces remain inviting, functional, and student-ready.
Student Engagement
• Serve as a positive representative of the Student Success Program and Career Services.
• Provide friendly customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
• Refer students to appropriate campus resources when needed.
Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled student in good academic standing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Dependable with the ability to work independently.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred
• Previous customer service, leadership, volunteer, or campus involvement experience.
• Interest in student success, career development, leadership, or higher education.

Work Environment
This position primarily works in an office and student-support setting. Duties may occasionally require standing, walking between campus locations, lifting light materials (up to 25 pounds), and assisting with event setup and cleanup.
