Purpose of Job
|
|
|
The Music Department at William Penn University is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated student to assist with the daily operations of the department. This position provides clerical, organizational, event, and technical support to faculty, staff, and students while helping ensure the success of departmental activities, rehearsals, performances, and community engagement initiatives.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
|
|
|
Organizational & Clerical Duties
• Maintain and organize music libraries, sheet music, records, and departmental files. • Assist with inventory management of instruments, equipment, uniforms, and supplies. • Support departmental communications, including emails, announcements, and event promotion. • Help prepare rehearsal materials, concert programs, schedules, and other departmental documents. • Assist faculty and staff with routine office tasks and special projects. Event & Performance Support • Assist with setup and teardown for concerts, recitals, rehearsals, and special events. • Help coordinate performance logistics, including staging, seating, equipment placement, and audience services. • Provide support during department-sponsored performances and recruitment events. • Assist with transporting and organizing equipment as needed. Student & Department Support • Welcome prospective students and visitors during department events. • Assist with music department recruiting activities, auditions, and campus visit days. • Support faculty initiatives and departmental outreach projects. • Serve as a resource for students regarding departmental procedures and event information. Creative & Technical Contributions • Assist with social media content creation and promotional materials. • Support digital organization of recordings, photos, and performance archives. • Contribute ideas for concerts, student engagement, and departmental promotion. • Assist with basic audio, visual, or technology needs during departmental events. |
