| Description of Duties and Responsibilities: |
|
|
Assists the Childcare Teacher by ensuring a developmentally appropriate classroom that is creative, flexible and rich in early childhood learning experiences. Provides a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.
1. Assists child care teacher by implementing curriculum in the classroom within the established guidelines
2. Assists teacher in designing and implementing daily lesson/activity plans based on ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child.
3. Supervises the children, classroom, and activities.
4. Assists teacher in maintaining program site and equipment.
5. Assists teacher in maintaining required program records and data entry for curriculum, food program point of service, attendance, etc. requested including monthly drills and follows emergency procedures when necessary.
6. Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training as requested.
7. Follows all food program, licensing and quality standard requirements.
8. Works collaboratively and effectively with all YMCA staff to ensure an exemplary classroom and workplace environment. |
| Required Qualifications: |
|
|
Must be able to pass a DHS Child Abuse and Criminal Record background check. Must take Mandatory Reporter and Universal Precautions training. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs Must be able to walk, kneel, stand, sit, and communicate with children. |

Monday thru Friday -6am-8am and/or 2pm-6pm Also, No school days and school breaks. |
