Shane Ehresman, Ed.S.

Assistant Professor | Director of Distance Learning

Professor Shane Ehresman joined the education division faculty at William Penn University in July 2021. He brings a variety of educational experiences over 27 years in K-12 education: Superintendent of schools in the Lynnville-Sully Community School District in Sully, Iowa; high school principal in the Washington Community School District in Washington, Iowa; high school associate principal/activities director as well as social studies teacher in the Marion Independent School District in Marion, Iowa; and high school social studies teacher in the Forreston Community School District in Forreston, Illinois.

As a first-generation college graduate, Shane believes the William Penn University Education Division Distance Learning program offers a personalized learning experience for non-traditional working adults and high school graduates aspiring to earn an Iowa teaching license. Most classes meet evenings and alternate Saturdays. In addition, Professor Ehresman also advises current licensed teachers wanting to earn additional teaching certifications from the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners (BOEE).
