Richard “Ricky” Corcoran
Admissions Counselor
Richard (Ricky) Corcoran is an Admissions Counselor at William Penn University, having rejoined the team in June 2025 after previously serving in the department during the 2017–2018 academic year. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ricky came to William Penn on a football scholarship and quickly found a home within the supportive campus community. He graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and met his wife, Sam—a fellow member of the Class of 2015—during his time at WPU. Ricky’s professional journey began on the sidelines, coaching football at William Penn from 2014 to 2018. He later returned to coach during the 2021 and 2022 seasons. In total, he spent nine years coaching college football, including a tenure at Rocky Mountain College in Montana. After welcoming his son, Graham, in 2022, Ricky chose to step away from coaching to focus on family. Following two and a half years working outside the university, he felt a strong calling to return to the place that shaped so much of his life. As an Admissions Counselor, Ricky is honored to give back to William Penn University. He believes the institution plays a critical role in developing confident, capable leaders—and credits it with giving him the tools to become one himself. His favorite part of the job is connecting with students and families and being a small but meaningful part of their educational journey.
