Andy McGuire

Adjunct Instructor of Theatre

Andy McGuire has taught theatre classes at William Penn University since January 2014. He is the Executive Director at the George Daily Community Auditorium (a local performing arts venue, theatre education organization, and a frequent partner with William Penn University).

Before transitioning to the Executive Director position, Andy was the organization’s first full-time Education Director, a position he held for nearly ten years. Before working at the Auditorium, he worked as a freelance teaching artist and stage director for multiple theatres around the Midwest in Minneapolis, Des Moines, and Chicago.

Along with his administrative and teaching duties, Andy has served as a board member and board chair of the Mahaska County Chamber and Development Group, multiple steering committees for projects for the city of Oskaloosa, and presented at various state-level conferences for his work in growing community through arts and culture and the art’s role in cross-sector collaborations.

After over 15 years working in the theatre field, Andy’s work has grown to encompass many finite and infinite games, with an ongoing mission to inspire curiosity, collaboration, and community engagement.
