William Penn University Welcomes Miguel Paredes as Director of Donor Relations

(OSKALOOSA, Iowa)— William Penn University is pleased to announce that Miguel Paredes has joined the Office of Advancement as the University’s new Director of Donor Relations.
Paredes brings more than 15 years of experience in higher education, where he has built a reputation for developing meaningful relationships and fostering partnerships that strengthen institutions and create opportunities for students. Throughout his career, he has served in leadership roles at Kansas Wesleyan University, Stephens College, Westminster College, Central Methodist University, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, and Graceland University. His experience spans advancement, enrollment, athletics administration, and community engagement, with a consistent focus on connecting people, building trust, and inspiring support for institutional missions.
“I have witnessed Miguel’s ability to build and enhance relationships, and the positive results it has fostered in various aspects of higher education,” said Ken Oliver, Executive Vice President for Advancement.
As Director of Donor Relations, Paredes will cultivate relationships with alumni, donors, and friends of William Penn University while helping advance the University’s philanthropic priorities and strengthen a culture of engagement and giving.
Paredes said he is excited to begin meeting alumni, donors, and friends of the University while becoming part of the campus community. “I am looking forward to being part of the William Penn family and excited to be there,” said Paredes.
Paredes earned a Master of Education from Central Methodist University and a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and Health from Graceland University. Miguel and his wife, Kea, have two daughters, AJ and Isa.
