William Penn University Presents Employee Service Awards

05/12/2017

On Thursday, May 11, employees of William Penn University gathered in the café of the Penn Activity Center for a potluck to honor faculty and staff during the annual William Penn University Employee Service Awards.

Awards are given out in five-year increments, beginning after the first five years of full-time employment at the University. Service awards are handed out each May, typically the week after graduation.

The big awards handed out this year were for 20, 35, and 50 years of service. Janet Ewart, Professor of Biology, Bonnie Johnson, Vice President of Financial Operations, and Pam Martin, Professor of Education-Licensure Official, received awards for 20 years of service. Judy Williams, Assistant Professor of Applied Computer Science, was awarded for her 35 years of diligent service, and campus photographer Robert Barnes was recognized for his 55 years of dedicated service to William Penn University.
