William Penn University Athletic Bands to Host Visit Day

06/08/2017

In conjunction with the Drum Corps International “Drum Corps Mid-America” competition on Saturday, July 29, William Penn University Athletic Bands will be hosting a campus visit day. Those who wish to begin school during the fall 2017 and fall 2018 terms at WPU are especially invited, as well as their families. The visit day will begin on the Oskaloosa campus at 1:00 p.m.

Aside from gaining knowledge about the William Penn University Athletic Bands Program, recruits and their families will also learn more about the university, tour the beautiful campus and Athletic Bands facilities, and will have the opportunity to attend the DCI competition that evening. Guests will have the option to visit with the Admissions Team and academic representatives about the admissions process, hear about scholarship and financial aid opportunities, and also get a brief overview of WPU academics and the learning atmosphere provided with an education at William Penn. Afterwards, recruits will visit with directors of the Athletic Bands and Music Department. During the visit, potential students can fill out an application for admission and receive a t-shirt and free ticket to the DCI competition that evening at the Lacey Complex Stadium. Additional tickets may be purchased online at www.wmpenn.edu in advance or at the gate.

Following the visit, all guests may go to practice sites in Oskaloosa to watch one of the drum corps rehearsals before a tailgate meal at the stadium beginning at 4:30 p.m. The DCI competition will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the stadium.

Those interested in attending the visit day should contact the Office of Admissions via email at admissions@wmpenn.edu or by calling 641-673-1014 or 800-779-7366.
