William Penn, Oskaloosa High School to Host Media and Community Night


The fall college and high school sports seasons are right around the corner and the Statesmen and Indian athletics departments would like to invite the media and public out to meet and hear from the coaches.

The First Annual WPU/OHS Athletics Media and Community Night is being planned for Tuesday, August 15 at 7 p.m. at Smokey Row.  The event will include a brief question-and-answer portion with the coaches conducted by WPU Sports Information Director Wade Steinlage as well as members of the Oskaloosa sports media.

William Penn teams that will be covered include football, volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s cross country, and men’s and women’s golf, while Oskaloosa High School squads that will be covered include football, volleyball, boys’ and girls’ cross country, and girls’ swimming.

Following the Q&As, coaches will be available to meet with the public.  Those in attendance will also be put into drawings for door prizes.
