William Penn Hosting Equality Night

11/09/2017

William Penn University will be hosting Equality Night in Penn Gymnasium next Tuesday, November 14 as part of the men’s basketball game against Nebraska Christian. The third-ranked men will take on the Parsons at 7:30 p.m.

“William Penn University was founded on the knowledge that there is indeed “that of God in everyone,” William Penn President John Ottosson stated.  “This understanding comes naturally to our campus as our students learn to see the value in others who do not look, believe, or think like them.  Understanding leads to cooperation; cooperation leads to tolerance; tolerance leads to friendship; and friendship leads to peace.  It is our obligation, our duty, and our call to act in such a manner to continue the mission and impact of William Penn.”

The William Penn Family invites you to join us prior to tipoff to support the team for this night of inclusion.  T-shirts, which mirror the men’s basketball team’s shooting shirts with the word ‘EQUALITY’ on them, will be handed out after halftime of the women’s game.

The women’s basketball team will also be in action, hosting Haskell Indian Nations at 5:30 p.m.
