Wednesday Doubleheader to Serve as Coaches Vs. Cancer Night

01/23/2018

The William Penn men’s and women’s basketball teams will once again be doing their parts in the fight against a deadly disease as they participate in the Coaches vs. Cancer initiative this week.

Wednesday’s doubleheader against Missouri Valley (women at 5:30, men at 7:30) will serve as Coaches vs. Cancer Night as the Statesmen host a Pink Out.

In addition to asking everyone to wear pink to draw awareness to the cause, WPU will also be selling paper tennis shoe for $1.  Fans can write the name of someone who has been affected by cancer on the shoe and the shoes will be taped up in the gym for all to see.  All funds raised will go to the American Cancer Society.
