Nursing Program Success Story

04/04/2026

The William Penn University Nursing Program is reputable for developing well educated and well equipped students who are ready for the workforce immediately upon graduation. The preparedness of these students reflects the success of the faculty cultivating young minds and the dedication of the students themselves. A recent graduate of the WPU Nursing Program, Brianna Beaty, is an exceptional example of the professional readiness this program has to offer its graduates.

Brianna Beaty, a recent graduate of William Penn, has accepted a job in Des Moines, Iowa, where she is now pursuing her nursing career. Upon accepting this nursing position, she was granted a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a $5,000 relocation bonus as part of her employment package. There is a high demand not only for nurses, but for those who have been truly qualified by a rigorous nursing program. This abundance also shows how valuable our healthcare workers are, as well as the value the hospitals, doctors offices, etc. place on their new nurses who are just beginning to step into their new profession.

Brianna’s qualification for nursing has also led to great success outside of the field and has overflowed into her personal accomplishments. She recently was able to purchase her first new car—a proud moment every young adult dreams of. “Her success represents the professional readiness and opportunity available to graduates of our program,” Dr. Kim shares.

Brianna’s story exemplifies the excellence of the nursing program at William Penn. The numerous alumni success stories highlight the positive career outcomes the program is able to provide for its students, as well as reinforces the impact of preparedness the program has for its students, aiding them in confidence and competence. Nurses with those qualities are highly sought after by healthcare organizations all across the region.

As the healthcare industry continues to evolve, the need for well educated nurses becomes more pertinent than ever. Brianna’s journey after graduation is a testament to the firm foundation provided to Penn nursing students. This program offers more than just a degree. It offers occupational success, professional confidence, and personal growth, as perfectly illustrated by Brianna’s story.
