Local Resident Awarded Winter Estate Scholarship

Aishya Seeman, an Oskaloosa resident and junior at William Penn University, has been selected to receive a Winter Estate Scholarship for the 2016–2017 academic year through the Iowa College Foundation.

The Winter Estate Scholarship Program is an endowment that was established with the Iowa College Foundation through the estate of Thelma and Carlton Winter. Both Thelma and Carlton were passionate about their community, the state of Iowa, and educational opportunities for young people.

The Iowa College Foundation (ICF) was founded in September of 1952, with able assistance from the Iowa business community, to annually solicit unified support for private higher education in the state. ICF is the only organization in Iowa through which businesses can support 23 private colleges and universities with a single gift.
