Jerry Ellis to receive University’s Distinguished Service Award

09/26/2017

This year’s Distinguished Service Award recipient has become a familiar face around William Penn University. Serving as current Chair of the William Penn University Board of Trustees, Jerry N. Ellis (’60) has plenty of experience in leadership within and outside the University.

The Distinguished Service Award is bestowed upon an individual whose life of service has been exemplary. This honor extends beyond the circle of Penn alumni to those who embody the William Penn commitment to community and humanitarian service.

William Penn will honor Ellis at the 2017 Alumni Recognition Banquet held during homecoming week. Ellis will be inducted into William Penn’s Hall of Fame and receive his award on Friday, September 29, in the Musco Technology Center. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., with the event starting at 6:00 p.m.
