World Food Prize Laureate Lecture

The World Food Prize Laureate Lecture, presented by William Penn University, features Heidi Kühn, founder of Roots of Peace and recipient of the 2023 World Food Prize. Kühn has dedicated her life to transforming conflict into peace by converting landmine-contaminated regions into thriving vineyards and orchards. Her “Mines to Vines” initiative has helped over one million farmers and families across ten countries, planting more than seven million fruit trees and removing over 100,000 landmines. Recognized globally for her humanitarian leadership, Kühn will share her journey of fostering peace, resilience, and sustainable growth through agriculture.
