Position Title: Adjunct Instructor of Physics

Department: Physics

Position Requirements and Preferences: 

  • Must have master’s degree in physics or master’s degree in another area with 18 graduate credits in physics.
  • Must have proven success teaching physics at the collegiate (preferred) or high school level and good classroom management skills.

Position Summary:
Adjunct instructor that could become full-time pending funding. Will teach one section of general physics (algebra and trigonometry-based) per semester, including labs, beginning Fall 2024 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. May also teach other Applied Technology Division courses.

Responsibilities: Teach general physics classes and labs and possibly other Applied Technology Division courses.

Reports to: Applied Technology Division Co-Chairs

Start Date: Fall 2024 (start of semester)

Replacement or New Position: Replacement

Full-Time/Part-time/Temp: Part-Time

Starting Salary Wage: Dependent upon qualifications
