Position Requirements and Preferences:
Must have master’s degree in mathematics education, mathematics, or another area with a reasonable amount of coursework in mathematics. Must have proven success teaching/tutoring mathematics at the secondary school level or developmental mathematics to under-prepared college students who struggle at mathematics. We seek colleagues with effective, inclusive classroom management skills and office hours.
Position Summary:
The William Penn University (WPU) Applied Technology Division invites applications for a full-time faculty member in Mathematics beginning Fall 2026 to teach math and statistics classes including developmental and general education. Rank and tenure dependent upon qualifications. K-12 teaching experience preferred but not required. WPU is a teaching institution. We seek innovative, student-caring instructors who use research-based pedagogical strategies. Candidates must be forward-thinking, student-centered, and work collaboratively and collegially. Expectations include effective advising, effective use of technology, student-learning assessment, service, and professional development. This is a full-time teaching and mentoring position. We honor effective teaching. No release time is given for research and publishing.
