QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
B. Experience Background in Athletic Administration
C. Abilities • Demonstrated talent in building and leading cohesive teams;
• Independent decision making and ability to exercise good judgment;
• Good written and oral communication skills;
• Ability to work independently and as a team member to complete assigned tasks and meeting deadlines;
• Organizational skills, time management, relationship building, and communication skills essential.
REPORTS TO: Athletic Director
SUPERVISES: Assigned Graduate Assistants and Student Workers
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Ability to provide high-level management to assigned areas of responsibility and take initiative to lead research and develop projects and concepts that are designed to advance intercollegiate athletics programming and services
B. Ability to collaborate with supervisor and other department leaders to advance the goals/mission/core values of the University and athletic department
C. Ability to supervise, train and evaluate assigned coaches, staff and/or student employees
D. Ability to Provide leadership for ongoing departmental assessment efforts, focusing on the experience of student athletes and teams
E. Excellent analytical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and decision-making skills.
F. Excellent interpersonal, communication (public speaking, oral and written) and organizational skills
G. Excellent administrative, project management, teamwork, planning, and organizational skills

L. Prior experience within athletics or recreation departments at an NAIA or NCAA institution, or administrative experience within a collegiate athletics conference office, or administrative experience within a national/state governing athletics organization
M. Provide oversight and management of assigned budgets and make effective financial decisions
N. Ability to be familiar with fiscal policy, demonstrate fiscal responsibility, and ensure that coaches and other supervisees follow financial policies
O. Ability to represent the athletic department at various events; may serve on committees to enhance unit goals/objectives
P. Ability to plan, negotiate, develop and/or implement departmental programs and services
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
a) Oversee and lead all Game Day Marketing and Promotions initiatives to enhance fan engagement and brand visibility.
b) Lead all aspects of Game Day facility set-up and breakdown to ensure smooth operations.
c) Oversee all aspects of University Athletic Ticketing, including management and strategy.
d) Serve as the primary liaison between MCRF and William Penn University:
a. Coordinate scheduling and facility usage with MCRF
b. Explore and implement models to enhance the concessions program
c. Participate in facility maintenance planning and future development discussions
e) Oversee the Athletic Department’s use of Box Out graphics to ensure consistent branding and timely content delivery.
f) Manage and oversee the William Penn Athletics App, including updates, content, and fan engagement.
g) Oversee and lead all Team Store operations, including inventory, sales, and promotions.
h) Act as the liaison between Musco and William Penn University regarding videoboard operations, events, and outage management.
i) Oversee, schedule, and coordinate all staffing needs for the Penn Activity Center (PAC).
j) Serve as Game Day Administrator, ensuring effective coordination across all game day operations.
k) Oversee and manage Graduate Assistants within the Athletic Department, including assignments and development.
l) Assist with facility scheduling to ensure efficient and strategic use of athletic spaces.
m) Perform all other duties as assigned in support of departmental goals and operations.
EVALUATION:
Performance evaluation will be the responsibility of the Athletic Director.
