| Supports the planning, coordination, and daily operation of YMCA aquatic programs while providing a safe, high-quality, and member-focused experience. | |
| Description of Duties and Responsibilities: | |
| Assists with the daily operation and coordination of YMCA aquatic programs, including swim lessons, water fitness, swim team activities, and special aquatic events. Supports the scheduling, training, supervision, and development of lifeguards, swim instructors, and other aquatic staff. Monitors pool operations to ensure compliance with YMCA, state, and local health and safety requirements. Assists with pool chemical testing, facility and equipment checks, maintenance coordination, and accurate recordkeeping. Helps organize staff schedules, program activities, trainings, and meetings. Provides excellent customer service by responding to member and community questions and concerns. Assists with program promotion, registration, special events, fundraising activities, and tracking program participation and effectiveness. Works collaboratively with YMCA staff, volunteers, members, and community partners and performs other duties as assigned. | |
| Required Qualifications: | |
| Minimum age of 21. One to two years of related experience preferred. Current lifeguard certification preferred; must obtain lifeguard certification within 30 days of hire if not currently certified. CPR, AED, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, and required YMCA program-specific certifications must be completed within required timeframes. Must demonstrate strong communication, organization, leadership, and customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people. | |

| Flexible schedule based on program and facility needs. Hours may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Schedule will be coordinated around student class schedules when possible. | |
