JOB TITLE: Graduate Assistant – Advancement Office
JOB SUMMARY: The Advancement Office Graduate Assistant supports the University’s efforts to build meaningful relationships with alumni, donors, and friends of William Penn University. This position provides administrative, communications, event, and project support while contributing to fundraising, alumni engagement, donor stewardship, and other initiatives that advance the University’s mission.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education –
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Acceptance into a William Penn University graduate program.
- Must maintain the minimum cumulative GPA required by William Penn University to remain eligible for graduate assistantship employment.
Abilities –
- Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and data.
- Assist with data entry, database maintenance, and record updates in CAMS.
- Support alumni and donor research, including address verification and profile updates.
- Assist with donor stewardship efforts, including mailings, filing, and other office support tasks.
- Help create, edit, or organize marketing and promotional materials, including graphics, apparel designs, and other print or digital content.
- Assist with event planning, preparation, and execution for Advancement and alumni activities.
- Compile information, stories, surveys, reports, and other materials as needed.
- Provide general administrative support to the Advancement Office.
- Serve as a welcoming ambassador for William Penn University by interacting professionally with alumni, donors, students, and campus visitors, including giving campus tours when requested.
- Promote William Penn University, its programs, and the student experience.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience –
- Previous customer service, hospitality, or office experience is encouraged but not required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new software and technologies.
REPORTS TO: Executive Vice President for Advancement
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Represent the University in a positive manner with prospective, current, and former students, employees, alumni, donors, and the community.

- Interpret departmental and/or University policies and procedures.
- Work harmoniously with others.
- Perform in a manner which benefits student learning.
- This position may require travel.
- This position may require occasional weekend and evening hours.
- Other duties as assigned.

Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the policies established by the Board of Directors of William Penn University.
