Campus Safety and Security Information
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, commonly known as the Clery Act, is a federal law that requires colleges and universities to report specific crime statistics to the U.S. Department of Education for incidents that occur on or near campus property. Compliance with this law is a condition of participation in federal student financial aid programs.
In accordance with the Clery Act, the university publishes an Annual Security Report by October 1 each year. This report includes campus crime statistics and security policies. The report is available online, and paper copies may be requested from the Security Office in the Student Union. A downloadable PDF version is also available.
