Molly joined the team in September 2024. Originally from Williams, Iowa, she has been working in higher education for seven years and enjoys meeting students from diverse backgrounds and interests. A former head college basketball coach, Molly has a passion for athletics and connecting with students that look for participation opportunities to enhance their college experience.

Will is a 2003 WPU Alum, now working as an Admissions Counselor for the Online, Distance Learning, and RN-BSN Nursing programs. The small college atmosphere and the helpful nature of employees and staff to students has made his experience an enjoyable one. Getting to know students from all walks of life and different backgrounds has made Will appreciate his own journey with Penn even more.
Stephanie VanMersbergen, Administrative Assistant – Admissions

Stephanie Van Mersbergen has been the Administrative Assistant for the Admissions office since April of 2021. She is a life time resident of Oskaloosa. Stephanie is the mother of 2 boys, Wade (WPU alum-2023) and Dane. After her son became a student-athlete and later a Graduate Assistant for the Men’s Basketball team, she came to appreciate the meaningful connections formed with new students who chose William Penn University as their home. In fact, meeting potential students and their families is one of her favorite things about being a part of the Admissions team.
Amanda DeVore, Communications Coordinator

Amanda DeVore is the Communication Coordinator for the Admissions team. Since 2015, the WPU alumna has served in a variety of communication and creative roles for the university. Since 2022, Amanda has enjoyed the team environment of the Admissions Office, finding the collaborative environment inviting and the daily work rewarding. Amanda has her BA in English Communication and her MA in Business Leadership, both earned at WPU.

Seth joined the Admissions team in January 2024 after graduating from William Penn in 2023 with his bachelor’s degree in New Media. The Oskaloosa native knew WPU was the place for him after interning at William Penn during his high school tenure, falling in love with the New Media Division and people of William Penn! His favorite thing about William Penn is the ability to share campus with people all over the world and creating life-long relationships. Seth enjoys working directly with students and their families, introducing them to the great atmosphere of William Penn University!
Kerra Strong, Vice President for Retention and Institutional Research

Kerra Strong, Vice President for Retention and Institutional Research, plays a key role in recruiting students for William Penn’s RN-BSN and Graduate Programs. Since joining the university in 2005, she has found great fulfillment in building relationships with WPU’s dedicated student employees.
Richard (Ricky) Corcoran, Admissions Counselor

Richard (Ricky) Corcoran is an Admissions Counselor at William Penn University. A Cincinnati native, he came to WPU on a football scholarship and earned his Psychology degree in 2015. He also met his wife, Sam, a fellow 2015 alum, during his time on campus. Ricky spent nine years coaching college football, including multiple seasons at WPU and Rocky Mountain College. After stepping away from coaching in 2022 to focus on family, he returned to William Penn in 2025 to rejoin the Admissions team. Passionate about student success, Ricky is proud to support future Statesmen as they begin their journey.
