William Penn University Invites the Public to Authors and Artists Event

10/05/2018

In conjunction with William Penn University’s Homecoming events, we are pleased to announce that this year’s Authors and Artists Event will be open to the Oskaloosa public.  This event displays books and artworks by William Penn alumni, staff, and faculty.  Works being shown are available for sale, and the authors or artists will be on hand to sign their works.

“So many talented individuals have graced the halls of William Penn University,” said Development/Gift Stewardship Officer, Sam Keith. “We are excited to invite alumni back and have the opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of those individuals during Homecoming weekend.” Keith has rejoined the Penn family and she has helped plan and organize this event for the Penn and Oskaloosa community this year.

Published authors Brian Spielbauer, Jared Pearce, and Dr. David Porter, along with several other noted authors and artists, will be attending this event.  This is a wonderful opportunity to see firsthand the work produced by these talented William Penn associates.  The event will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 am on Saturday, October 13, leaving plenty of time to get to the Stadium at the Lacey Recreation Complex for all of the home athletic contests during Homecoming 2018.

The Authors and Artists Event will be on the second floor of the Penn Activity Center (PAC).  The event is free and open to the public.
