Sanjiv Sinha, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering

Dr. Sanjiv Sinha joined the William Penn Faculty in the fall 2019. He first graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from John Moores University in 1984. He completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Syracuse University in 1994. He specializes in material, solid, and structural mechanics, dynamics and controls, and robotic and manufacturing automation. Inside of the classroom, Dr. Sanjiv Sinha uses innovative methods to teach his students. He employs blended learning, flipped classes, videos, and labs. Among the subjects he teaches are statics, dynamics, and thermodynamics. Outside of the classroom, Dr. Sinha enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, international culture, and trade & economy. He also belongs to two organizations, the American Society of Mechanical Engineering and the American Society of Engineering Education.
