Ravindra Kumar, Ph.D.
Visiting Professor of Mechanical Engineering

Ravindra Kumar began teaching at William Penn University in the fall of 2018. He joined the Penn family as a Visiting Professor of Mechanical Engineering in the Applied Technology division, specializing in material science education and research. Professor Kumar utilizes Physics Education Research (PER) initiated tools such as workshop physics methods, constructivist approaches, and student-centered teaching. Through these methods, along with projects and service learning, he is able to work individually with students and help them achieve their desired results. He is currently writing a book to showcase his techniques, including a high-caliber content development strategy which he has implemented in curriculum reforms. When he’s not in the classroom, Professor Kumar enjoys playing soccer, watching professional soccer, and has recently begun learning yoga.
