Michelle Lahner, MSN, RN

Nursing Lab Coordinator

Michelle Lahner grew up in Oskaloosa. After graduating from OHS, she went on to get her BSN and relocated to the Des Moines area.

Michelle worked in bedside medical-surgical patient care for over 10 years in Des Moines, including 6 years on a variety of units as part of the “internal resource pool.” She has been a nurse educator since graduating with her MSN in 2012. Her teaching experience has included fundamentals, skills, assessment, and pharmacology in the foundational years of nursing education. She has enjoyed teaching students in the classroom, clinical, and lab setting.

Michelle moved back home to Oskaloosa in 2016 and has enjoyed raising her three young children so close to family. She joined the Nursing Division in late 2019 to help develop the Nursing Skills and Simulation Labs.
