Dr. Laura E. Bernstein, GPHR

Dr. Laura Bernstein has been a professor with WPU since 2012 and teaches in the College for Working Adults’ Master and Bachelor programs. Most recent courses taught include MBL 504 (Effective Business Teams), MBL 544 (Leading in a Global Business World), MBL 536 (Human Capital Development & Success Planning), MBL 460 (Corporate Strategy), and BUSI/SOCI 345 (Organizational Behavior).

Dr. Bernstein currently works in the Chief Customer Office for SAP, a Germany-based European multinational corporation that makes enterprise software to manage business operations.  Working as the lead North America Transformation Advisor, Dr. Bernstein serves as a trusted advisor to C-level executives regarding their end-to-end (pre-hire to retire) human resource management & digital transformation priorities.

She is an author and thought leader in the areas of leadership development, digital transformation, and organizational performance, and is respected for agile leadership, acute bias for action, and rigorous execution of strategic objectives.

Dr. Bernstein earned her doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Drake University, MBA from Northwood University, BS in Computer Information Systems from Saginaw Valley State University, and she holds her GPHR certification.

A former business owner, Dr. Bernstein knows first-hand the challenges and rewards of creating a high-performing organization that can thrive in the 21st century.
