Cathy Williamson, M.A.

Chair of Education division, Associate Professor of Education, Peasley House Hall Director

Professor Cathy Williamson has been a faculty member at William Penn University since 2006. She recognizes the value the university places in its students and how this helps contribute to a dynamic learning environment. She feels that this concept has allowed different perspectives from students from all different backgrounds, ethnicities, and locations to thrive. Professor Williamson finds it interesting to hear how viewpoints on education differ among students, parents, and teachers across the globe.

To better facilitate her lessons, she is active in attending and presenting at academic conferences across the United States. She has a passion for student engagement and active teaching, so she focuses on those techniques in her courses as well as with her advisees, by working with them individually. Professor Williamson enjoys seeing how much personal interest the Education faculty members take in their students’ success.
