Position Title: Instruction of Education or Assistant Professor of Education

Position Requirements and Preferences:

  • Requirements: Master’s degree in education and a minimum of three years teaching experience in K-8 special education is required. The candidate must hold a K-8 Instructional Strategist I endorsement.
  • Preferences: Doctorate in education or related fields (ABD may apply), Elementary Education teaching experience and K-6 classroom endorsement, college teaching face-to-face and online, and elementary teaching experience are preferred.

Position Summary:

William Penn University, a four-year liberal arts Quaker institution, is seeking an energetic, personable, interactive colleague who is pleasant to work with and who is committed to 21st-century pedagogies and theories of learning for the position of education instructor or assistant professor beginning fall 2021. The faculty culture at William Penn University focuses on caring, nurturing, and mentoring our 925 students, as well as recruiting and retention. The candidate must be qualified to teach a variety of special education classes. This position is tenure-track eligible.

Position includes classroom teaching on campus and online, student advising, field experience supervision, and committee responsibilities.
