Mechanical Engineering/Physics Instructor

Position Requirements and Preferences:

Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics required as well as professional experience.

Position Summary:

Teach two engineering classes and one physics class each semester: Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials, Thermodynamics, and College Physics I & II (calculus based). Serve as academic advisor for all 3+2 Mechanical Engineering students, as advisor for student Engineering Club, guide students in undergraduate research, maintain 3+2 engineering articulation agreement with Iowa State University, and assist in recruiting 3+2 students

Reports to: Applied Technology Division Chair

Start Date: Fall 2018

Replacement or New Position: Replacement

Full-Time/Part-time/Temp: Full-Time

Starting Salary Wage: Negotiable with experience
