Position Title: Assistant Professor of Kinesiology

Department: Academic Affairs – Health & Life Sciences Division

Position Requirements and Preferences:

The Division of Health and Life Sciences at William Penn University announces a full-time, 9-month tenure-track position in Kinesiology beginning August 2019. This position requires a Ph.D. in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related discipline.  ABD may be considered. Previous college teaching experience is highly desirable. Additional teaching during the summer is possible. Applicant screening will commence immediately and continue until the position is filled.

Position Summary:

We seek an individual to teach courses in our Kinesiology Program, to include Fundamental Concepts of HPER; Leadership in Sport, Exercise & Recreation; Tests and Measurements; Adaptive Physical Education; Organization/Administration of HPER; Concepts of Coaching (Psychology of Sport/Coaching); with the opportunity to teach other Kinesiology courses depending on the candidate’s education and interests. Expertise in statistical and research methods is desirable.  Student-centered teaching, advising, and learning assessment are expected. Additional duties include committee work, effective use of technology, college and community service, and continuous professional development.
