Digital Impact Lab On-Campus Work Study Position

Position Title: Manufacturing and Design Assistant

Department: Digital Impact Program

Work Location: Digital Impact Lab – MTC

Description of Duties and Responsibilities: 

To assist the Digital Impact Director with team needs related to manufacturing, metal working, construction, CAD and woodworking.

  • Use machining and manufacturing techniques to produce high-quality products related to team requests
  • Organize and catalog materials, components and hardware needs
  • Assist in the check-in/check-out process of team materials
  • Schedule time for Industrial Technology Lab/Machine use with proper stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications: 

  • Experience with machining, woodworking, lab safety
  • CAD experience
  • Must have final approval from James Smith after interview

Work Schedule (Days & Times): TBD

Hourly Wage: $7.25

Employment Start Date and Employment End Date: September 21, 2020 – May 8, 2021
