Description of Duties and Responsibilities: 

Safely check in and check out equipment to students and assist in maintaining a safe office environment.

  • Handle equipment checkout procedures
  • Ensure visitors are wearing a mask
  • Enforce social distancing rules in the main office area
  • Perform small office or cleaning tasks while on duty
  • May be asked to help in laboratory and control spaces
  • Flexibility in an ever changing environment where priorities may change is needed

Required Qualifications:

Strong candidates for this position will be friendly, self motivated people who can act as polite greeters to the outside public. These specialists must also be able to be firm, and ensure everyone follows the rules. They should have a basic level of computer literacy; their workstation will have a Mac mini at it, so if they are familiar with a Mac OS that’s a plus. Another good quality to have is the ability to lift at least 50 lbs. Selected candidates will undergo a training for other needed skills for the job.

Work Schedule (Days & Times): Monday-Friday; hours vary (mainly 8 AM to 5 PM window with selected staff filling in the slots)

Hourly Wage: $7.25
