Conferencing Coordinator Graduate Assistant

JOB TITLE: Graduate Assistant/Conferencing Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education Bachelor’s Degree required

B. Experience Background in Administration/Communication/Event Planning

C. Abilities · Independent decision making and ability to exercise good judgment; · Good written and oral communication skills; · Ability to work independently and as a team member to complete assigned tasks and meeting deadlines; · Organizational skills, time management, relationship building, and communication skills essential

REPORTS TO: VP for Advancement/Marketing and Communications Manager

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Promote William Penn University to the Oskaloosa community

B. Organize events, meetings and groups for both on campus and off campus clients

C. Maintain university calendar of events/Screenly slides/WPU Announcements

D. Coordinate schedule with Sodexo Facilities, Sodexo Food Service and PAC Staff

E. Assist in development and implementation of marketing plan to bring camps and conferences to campus

F. Work with internal staff and external clients to make their campus event a positive experience.

G. Create a safe, clean and enjoyable environment for all students, faculty/staff and visitors.

H. Develop and update spreadsheet for account receivables and cancellations

I. Create year-end report; illustrating WPU internal and external client usage of facilities on room-by-room basis, conferencing and housing revenue generation

J. Assist with inventory and assessment of conferencing equipment.

K. Represents the University in a positive manner with students, employees, and the community.

L. Demonstrates enthusiasm, self-motivation, and a positive attitude in meeting and dealing effectively and courteously with students, other personnel, and all members of the community.

M. Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.

N. All Other duties as assigned.

EVALUATION: Performance will be the responsibility of the Marketing and Communications Manager.
