Position Title: Assistant Professor of Psychology
William Penn University (Iowa) announces a full-time, nine-month position in Psychology commencing August, 2021. A Ph.D. in Psychology or related discipline is preferred, though MA/MS shall be considered. Previous teaching experience focused on student learning is highly desirable. Screening will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

We want you to be intellectually curious, collaborative, technologically savvy, and involved in campus life. As a Penn Professor, you will collaborate with colleagues in other disciplines as well as with local human services agencies/organizations. Must be willing to become a master of student advising / mentoring, and welcoming prospective students to the program. A commitment to our University mission and to continual improvement intellectually and pedagogically also are important to us.
Courses include Introduction to Psychology, Lifespan Psychology, Introduction to Counseling, Theories and Systems of Counseling, Human Services in Contemporary America, and Crisis Intervention. Twelve hours per semester. Additional teaching during the summer is possible.
