Purpose of Position: The Theatre Department Assistant works with the Theatre Department Director, Creative Arts Instructors, & staff at the George Daily Auditorium to prepare, organize, & assist with projects related to the William Penn University Theatre Department & its partners.

Description of Duties & Responsibilities:
This position is for work-study students seeking experience working in theatre, creative arts, non-profit administration, or project/program management fields. Duties include helping plan and implement operations for projects initiatives, performances, and programs of the William Penn University Theatre Department and its partners.

Required Qualifications: Students must be able to communicate with supervisors clearly and concisely. They must be willing to be curious and learn skills as they are needed to be performed with the Theatre Department. Students must be willing to work with other instructors in the Creative Arts Majors, the Division of New Media, the Humanities Division, and the George Daily Auditorium. Most projects and programs are coordinated through the Theatre Department at McGrew, but occasionally Theatre Department Assistants will have projects that intersect and are organized through other Theatre Department partnerships in the Division of New Media, the Humanities Division, and the George Daily Auditorium.

Work Schedule (Days & Times): We will work with your schedule to build what works for you. Generally, hours are during regular business hours (8am-5pm), but there are times where schedules are outside of regular business hours for events partnered with community entities.

Hourly Wage: $10.00
