Purpose of Job
Assistant the Marketing Manager/Marketing & Communications Office with office duties. Which include, but are not limited to, invoice filing, organization, creative content, and writing.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
-Office management/coordination abilities
-Independent decision making, ability to exercise good judgment, accuracy, flexibility and well developed critical thinking skills
-Ability to work in an environment of shifting priorities, frequent, interruptions, hectic pace, high level of interaction with students, staff and/or the public
-Working knowledge of computer software programs which may include Word, Excel, or similar programs
-Ability to handle highly confidential matters and materials with discretion
-Excellent customer service skills including phone and in-person reception etiquette
-Proficiency with office machines including fax, scanner and copy machine
-Assisting in various Advancement Office tasks, such as mailings, stuffings, general errands, etc.
Required Qualifications:
-Working knowledge of computer software programs which may include Word, Excel, or similar programs
-Excellent written communication skills including proficiency in business English, grammar, punctuation, and spelling
-Ability to work on projects in a timely, yet proficient manner. Time management skills required to meet deadlines
-Independent work ethic with strong attention to detail
-Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. as well as walk across campus
-Willing and able to assist with other facets
-AP Styled writing is preferred, but not required
-Understanding of Adobe Creative Suites (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is a preferred
Willing to work around class schedule. MWF would prefer at least two hours from 8:30AM to 1:00PM TTh would prefer at least three to four hours from 1:30PM to 4:00PM
