Purpose of Job
To learn and use the soft skills and practical skills necessary for working in a modern non-profit and business environment.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
Work-study interns build soft skills and practical skills through their responsibilities at the Auditorium. Responsibilities may include basic data entry, email list upkeep, data collection, assisting with teaching the Youth Theatre, participating in staff development, assisting as a positive role-model for theatre courses, assisting with production load-in and out, general upkeep of the auditorium, participating with the Auditorium’s University Student Advisory Board, and other duties as assigned. The Work-study internship is designed around the interests and qualifications of the student hired.
Required Qualifications:
All skills can be taught. Applicants must be a motivated, reliable, and responsible individual. Experience with theatre and/or working with children is preferred.
Work Schedule–Days & Times
Time scheduled is dependent on the availability of the Work-study Intern and are generally during business days, but some evening and weekend hours might be necessary.
