Position Title: Helpdesk Attendant

Work Location: Penn Hall 112

Purpose of Position: 

  • Provide first line customer service to incoming students, staff and faculty.

 

Description of Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Staff the IS Help Desk at 112 Penn Hall
  • Answer the IS Help Desk phone
  • Provide level 1 support to students, faculty and staff that contact the Help Desk or stop by
  • Enter requests for service into the IS Help Desk tracking system
  • Assist IS Technicians in providing various services to WPU students, faculty and staff including but not limited to:
    • Installing and maintaining computer, phone, networking equipment
    • Software installation and maintenance activities
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • WPU students
  • Willingness to serve others
  • Friendly, helpful and courteous
  • Interest in IS, including basic understandings of PC systems, phones, networks and software
  • Great attention to detail and willingness to accept direction from others

 

Work Schedule (Days & Times):

  • Monday to Friday | 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

 

Hourly Wage: $10.00

Employment Start Date: 08/21/2023
Employment End Date: 05/03/2024
