William Penn University, in compliance with the requirements under Title IV Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act and Title IX Violence Against Women Act, publishes an Annual Security Report. This report outlines policies and procedures pertaining to campus safety. It includes crime statistics for the most recent three years. Beginning in 2010, an Annual Fire Safety Report is also required and is incorporated into the Annual Security Report.
A printed copy of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is available upon request. Call 1-800-779-7366, ext. 1083 or stop by the Student Services office located in Dana M. Atkins Memorial Union on the Oskaloosa campus to request a printed copy. A copy of the 2014 report can be downloaded here in PDF format or in a Word document.
William Penn University also publishes a Student Handbook and a Faculty/Staff Handbook that contain the policies of the university relative to campus security. These documents contain the procedures for reporting emergencies and crimes along with the resources to contact.
Each year, the university provides programming and activities designed to make people aware of safety risks and issues. Safety and security programs offered may include, but are not limited to, self-defense, home security, sexual assault, domestic violence and substance abuse. Security Contact Information
The university provides 24-hour security so individuals can report a crime or emergency. A full-time security staff makes regular patrols of the main campus and is available to respond to emergencies or other safety concerns. Local law enforcement provides quick response to security needs upon request.
