Campus Security

The following is the William Penn University statement of compliance with the requirements under Title IV Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act.

William Penn University publishes a Student Handbook and a Faculty and Staff Handbook that contain the policies of the university relative to campus security. These documents contain the procedures for reporting emergencies and crimes along with the resources to contact.

Security is a shared responsibility between the Dean of Students, Chief of Security and the Director of Campus Support Services. William Penn University employs night security personnel between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. During business hours, the Dean of Students and the Director of Campus Support Services work together to handle safety concerns. Local law enforcement provides quick response to security needs upon request.

Each year, the university provides programming and activities designed to make people aware of safety risks and issues. Safety and security programs offered may include, but are not limited to, self-defense, home security, sexual assault, domestic violence and substance abuse. More information about personal safety can be found at www.iowasexoffenders.com.

The most recent crime statistics for William Penn University are listed below. A printed copy of the Campus Security Report is available upon request.
