Mahaska Leadership Institute
The mission of the Mahaska Leadership Institute is to develop leadership skills, promote civic engagement, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities for community members and William Penn students.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to become active members of the community at all levels: local, state, and federal. As part of the program structure, participants are required to attend one outside function every month such as public meetings or community volunteer activities.
Sessions will be held from 1:30 – 5:00 pm on the second Tuesday of each month starting in September and continuing through April for a total of eight sessions. See the attached brochure for exact meeting dates, times and program. The December meeting will be held in the evening to accommodate an etiquette dinner. Attendance at the first session (Sept. 11) is required and no more than two sessions should be missed for the duration.
