Guest professor from Mexico to lecture at Penn

Community invited to hear visitor speak at William Penn

     Dr. Benigno Villarreal Del Rio, a professor at Anahuac University in Mexico City and international lecturer, will be a guest speaker at William Penn University March 17 and 18.

     Dr. Villarreal formerly served as chief of staff for the General Director of the Social Security Institute of the State of Mexico and as a representative for the government of the State of Mexico for Monaco and France. He is a former director of ECOMEX Mexican Ecological Fuels, a company owned by the World Bank, and has served as legal director for the Ministry of Transportation in Mexico.

     Currently, Dr. Villarreal is General Director of VIBE Consulting Group and teaches international business, corporate law and international economics at Anahuac University. While visiting William Penn, Dr. Villarreal will lecture in contemporary business law and international business classes.

     The community is invited to attend an evening with Dr. Villarreal on Tuesday, March 18, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Chief Mahaska Room of the Atkins Memorial Union. At this event he will address immigration issues, regionalism and NAFTA. Following his remarks there will be a question and answer period.

     Dr. Villarreal has earned doctorate degrees in corporate law, economics and business administration as well as a doctorate of jurisprudence. His master’s degree in business administration specialized in information technology, and he has taken graduate courses at American universities, including Harvard and Yale.
