Diplomats serve as a voice between the president and the students, travel with
the president on occasion and have the opportunity to meet many alumni and friends of the university through various events.

Carson sees her peers as a second family and appreciates having friends from across the world. While at Penn she also met her fiancé, Tony Eveland, who graduated from the university in May 2008.
