Parents who would like to see improvement in the reading skills of their children can enroll them in the First National-William Penn University Reading Clinic. Tutors for the clinic are William Penn students who are majoring in elementary education.
The program will be tailored to each child’s individual needs. Tutoring will be offered in one-hour sessions from 4 to 5 p.m. twice weekly for 10 weeks. The program begins September 22 and is open to children in kindergarten through sixth grade.
The fee for the ten-week clinic is $25 per child, and parents will need to provide transportation to the William Penn campus. For more information or to register, call the Education Division office at 673-1100 or Professor Charlotte Stangeland at 673-1105. The deadline for registration is Monday, September 15.
