Paul W. McCracken, a 1937 graduate of William Penn, was recently honored by his alma mater. In ceremonies at the new College for Working Adults campus in West Des Moines, Board Chair Joe Crookham announced that Penn's graduate program will henceforth be known as the Paul W. McCracken Graduate Program of Business Leadership.

McCracken is a native of Richland, Iowa. He graduated from William Penn in 1937 and went on to attend Harvard for his master’s degree and Ph.D. His career as a noted economist and professor at the University of Michigan included assignments as an aide to five U.S. presidents.

      Spencer Chapel Survey

In early 2009 the William Penn campus community participated in a visioning process. From that process, twelve committees were formed, including the Historic Preservation Committee. The committee is currently focusing on Spencer Memorial Chapel and would like the input of alumni, faculty, staff, current students, Oskaloosa community members, and friends of WPU.

It is the intent of the Historic Preservation Committee to analyze the data collected from the attached survey and present the findings to the president. Please take a few moments to complete the survey linked to this email. Your time and input is greatly appreciated.
