Athletic Hall of Fame Display
As the Athletic Hall of Fame continued to grow each year, more space was needed in order to provide the necessary visibility for the universities display. In 2014, a committee was assembled by the William Penn Athletic Booster Club to begin the process of transforming a section of the 1st floor in the Penn Activity Center (PAC) into WPU's new Athletic Hall of Fame area. At Homecoming 2015, the committee unveiled Phase I of this project, which was mounting all of the hall of Fame member plaques to the wall in the designated area.
In addition, banners will hang each year honoring the most recent inductees and a montage of action shots of past inductees. A seating area was also included so the achievements of alumni can be taken in by visitors and current students. The new location is in the heart of the busiest building on campus and will serve as a constant reminder of a portion of the Universities history.
Phase II and III of the Athletic Hall of Fame will be working towards the acquisition and placement of William Penn Trophies, memorabilia, and artifacts. These stages will take place once the committee reaches the necessary goal of funding.
